Editions
InteractV ships in three editions: Basic (free) and the two paid editions Gamer and Partner. The edition you get is decided by the archive you install: there is no license key, activation, or in-game toggle. Every archive is ready-to-run; nothing to configure to start playing.
Basic (free)
Available to everyone, from the public downloads page:
- Autonomous gang scenes: turf-adjacent encounters, shakedowns, robbery, and the ambient world drama around you.
- Affiliation, recruiting, and simple orders for your crew.
- Behavior profiles and native GTA speech.
- The F5 settings menu, including the language switch (English/French).
Basic ships its content baked into the mod: there are no loose behavior XML files to edit.
Gamer (paid)
Delivered to Patreon supporters at the Gamer tier. Everything from Basic, plus:
- World reactions: police, military, and air support respond to what happens around you.
- Player involvement: hostile NPCs can target and pull you into an interaction.
- Territory system: gangs claim, defend, and fight over city zones; turf changes hands based on fight outcomes.
- Economy & conquest: territorial economy, production per spot, and conquest mechanics.
- Phone operations: call your own faction for backup, request a "Ride Along" pickup, or send a drive-by against a rival.
- Lieutenant phone and faction text messages (with a language choice for SMS).
- Fully editable data: the scene, audio, interaction, behavior, definition, event, and group XML files are shipped loose under
scripts/InteractV/, so you can change or extend the mod without touching code.
Partner (paid)
Delivered to Patreon supporters at the Partner tier. Everything from Gamer, plus the in-game authoring tools:
- The developer menu to inspect, edit, and test content live.
- The development console and content-tuning tools used to build and debug scenes.
Pick Partner if you author or extend InteractV content yourself; for playing, Gamer is the same gameplay without the authoring tools.
Which one do I have?
| Clue | Edition |
|---|---|
| Downloaded from the public (GTA5-Mods / GitHub / OIV) release | Basic |
| Received from the Patreon Gamer-tier archive | Gamer |
| Received from the Patreon Partner-tier archive | Partner |
A Basic install doesn't have the territory, economy, phone, ride-along, police, or military systems (the F5 menu hides them), so Basic is easy to tell apart in-game. Gamer and Partner run the same gameplay; Partner is the one that also exposes the authoring tools.
Getting the paid editions
Both paid editions come from Patreon — Gamer at the Gamer tier, Partner at the Partner tier. They install exactly like Basic, with no key to paste anywhere.
If you were given a file and it does not unlock the paid features, you almost certainly have a Basic archive: the edition is fixed when the DLL is built, so re-download the archive for your tier rather than looking for a setting to flip.
