Troubleshooting
Nothing seems to happen
- Check the startup notification: it names the edition you installed. No notification means the mod did not load; check the requirements and that every DLL of the archive is in
scripts/. - Encounters start where you can see them. Stay around people for a while, in a neighbourhood where gangs live.
- Some situations need calm: police nearby, a fresh body, gunfire or a story mission in progress can hold a new encounter back.
- Some content only exists in Gamer and Partner (see Editions). A Basic install will not show it, whatever the settings.
No police, territory or phone contacts
These systems are part of Gamer and Partner. On Basic they are not there, and no setting adds them. If you expected them, you installed a Basic archive: download the archive of your tier again from the download page. There is no key to enter and nothing to activate.
A backup or a scene never shows up
Everything the mod brings into the world arrives from somewhere out of your sight. In a tight spot (a dead end, a rooftop, a closed courtyard) there may be no hidden way in, so the backup or the scene skips that turn. Moving to a more open street usually lets the next one in.
No voices
- The recorded voice lines can be turned off under
[Audio]ininteractv.ini: check they are on. - Basic uses GTA's own voices only.
The mod loaded twice, or behaves strangely after an update
Make sure scripts/ holds a single InteractV.dll. A copy left in another folder under scripts/ is loaded too.
Reporting a bug
Turn EnableLogs on in interactv.ini, reproduce the problem, then share the log file the mod writes in scripts/InteractV/ on the Discord, with what you were doing when it happened.
